JOHN WHITE
                                                      11/12/1946-1/22/2017


John White, Glendora Real Estate Broker, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22,2017 at his home in Glendora from complications due to Parkinson’s. He was born on November 12, 1946 in New York City.
John served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He fell in love with his sweetheart, Yvonne, whom he married in 1968 and they settled in the San Gabriel Valley, where John spent the rest of his life.

     Encouraged by his wife, John returned to school and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Cal Poly Pomona in 1972. His love of people and gift of talk led him to a happy career in Real Estate. After working for a few years at larger Real Estate firms, John decided it was time for something new.  John opened his own office in Glendora in 1987 and never looked back. White House Real Estate found its home in a space above Nelsons Drug Store in the Village section of Glendora. John quickly made an impact on the lives of many in and around town. His vivacious smile and ever present sense of humor made him an endearing part of countless lives. John worked hard to find his clients the perfect place to call home and continued to work until 2016.

      John loved to make people smile and laugh. He particularly enjoyed making children happy and found himself playing Santa for friends and their families at Christmas time. He spent many, many years treating kids to his annual visits. John also loved to read, and he shared this passion with local school children in Kindergarten and First Grade by visiting their classroom as a guest reader and he always happened to have a fun magic trick up his sleeve. The children wildly looked forward to his visits.

    John also spent many years as a faithful member of St. Dorothy’s Church where he volunteered in many capacities but excelled at his duties as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister to the elderly homebound as well as serving on the School Board.

     John loved God, Family and his many “adopted” families around town.
John was very patriotic and loved his country dearly…always ready to share his love of the USA and show his brightly decorated Red, White and Blue office space to all.
John will be missed by many….

Services will be held at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church in Glendora on 2/10/2017  with Rosary at 10:00AM and Funeral service at 10:30AM.
