Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Azusa, (corner of Soldano and Foothill Blvd.) in the church lower level Fellowship Hall.

Karen Marie Nolting went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2017; at the age of 79.

Karen was the only child of Eugene and Lillian Tooley. She was born in Howell, Michigan on March 29, 1938.

Karen was married to Dick Nolting for 55 years. They have 2 daughters Jody and Stacy. She was Nana to Connor and Rachel and they were the apple of her eye.

Karen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Azusa and volunteered many hours in the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of P.E.O. and loved her sisters very much. Over the years Karen was very active in the city of Azusa. She helped with Golden Days, was a Girl Scout leader, and PTA president of Dalton Elementary school.

Karen was a school teacher in Azusa Unified School District for 27 years. She taught at Dalton Elementary School and Center Middle School. She was a caring and dedicated teacher to many kids in Azusa.

Karen was one of the kindest, most generous and caring people you would ever meet. She had a marvelous, witty, dry sense of humor that would make you laugh. She loved her friends and family with all of her heart. She will be greatly missed.

A scholarship fund is going to be set up in her honor to be awarded to an Azusa student. Further details to follow, but donations to her scholarship fund in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.

At Karen’s wishes a private funeral will be held on December 13, 2017.
