DAVID JOHN RODRIGUEZ - 12/13/1946 - 12/16/2017

David John Rodriguez was taken away from his many friends and relatives on December 16, 2017. But our loss is David's gain. It is everyone's desire that when their time on earth has been completed it is because God has other plans for them. Today, David is working on those plans with help from his mother in heaven.

David Rodriguez was born in Los Angeles on December 13, 1946. He was a shy but very ornery kid as his sister can attest to. David attended El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera which he considered his home town. He later served his country in the U.S. Army while doing service in Vietnam. It was a frightening experience for him but he completed his tour receiving a  Vietnam Service Medal and an Honorable Discharge. David worked at Valspar Paints for many years. It was while working at Valspar that he met his wife, Rose, in Glendora and they together went on to have many happy years together.

But life took a turn on David. He endured not one but two back operations. These operations were difficult but he endured and he fought through them with his funny and witty personality. David's problems continued with the arrival of bone on bone knees that were failing him. He began to experience additional problems, but David never lost his humor or wit. It was this Humor and Wit that helped him to continue through life though it did get difficult.

David leaves behind his lovely wife Rose, his sister Mary (Partner Pat) and brother Richard (wife Donna). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss his presence. Of course, there will be many of his friends and acquaintances who will no longer be able to enjoy David's corny jokes.
