Tribute

Diana Zavala was born on April 3, 1945

She was the 2nd of ten siblings.

Diana was married to Reyes Zavala for 55 years. Together they raised 3 daughters, Angie, Donna, Michelle, and a son, Richard. Her grandchildren include 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 1 great-grandson and 1 great-granddaughter.

Diana Zavala recently retired from City of Hope Medical Center where she worked as a PBX operator for 29 years.

Diana was a special woman who enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime such as crocheting blankets, watching classic movies, shopping, and visits to the pier.  She was also an animal lover who rescued and cared for her many pets over the years.

Diana enjoyed baking and will be remembered for her famous pumpkin bread during the holidays. Her family & friends will miss how endearing it was for “Aunt Diane” to remember each of them on their birthdays.

She was a strong woman of faith and a lifelong parishioner of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church where she was a member of the Divine Mercy ministry group, Fr. Roque’s Bible Study group, & the Nocturnal Eucharistic Adoration group.

Her family wishes they had more time together but will always value the time and memories.

Diana Zavala will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Azusa, on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020. Due to restrictions from the Corona Virus, attendance is very limited and is only at the invitation of the family. You are welcome to express condolences here on this forum. Thank you.
