Gerald Craig Lytton “Jerry” of Glendora, CA, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Covina Inter-Community Hospital in Covina, CA, from COVID, complicated by his history of lung cancer. Born September 16, 1949, in Lumberton, NC, Jerry was the son of the late Lloyd Ray Lytton and the late Lorena Mae (Pait) Noble and D. Franklin Noble.
Jerry retired from the automotive industry in 2018 where he had worked for 40 years. Most of these years were spent as the Parts and Service Director at BMW of Monrovia. Throughout Jerry’s career, he mentored many individuals and led his employees with grace and humility, providing the highest level of customer service, for which his department received many accolades and awards. Jerry treated his staff and customers with the utmost respect and handled conflicts with dignity and compassion. As a Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served in the Marine Corps. Jerry’s greatest joy came from giving, serving, protecting, and providing for others. He was passionate about his faith, his family, his patriotism, the Denver Broncos, and the Miami Hurricanes. He was gracious and hospitable, never meeting a stranger. Jerry will be best remembered for his fun-loving attitude, adventurous spirit, generosity, backyard barbecues, and, of course, his fist bumps.
