Gilbert Gaeta passed away very peacefully on February 5, 2017, just one day after his 90th birthday. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.

Gil was born, raised and lived all of his years in La Puente, CA. He was born to Epigmenio and Carmen Gaeta and was one of seven children.

He wed the love of his life, Gloria, in April 1948 and they were happily married for nearly 69 years. Together they had two children, Corine and Joe.

Gil worked on the railroad for Union Pacific in his early years, but ultimately made a career as a cement mason with R.E. Job.

Gil enjoyed golf, woodworking, cooking and eating out; however, his most favorite way to spend his time was to be with his family. He was extremely loved and will be remembered for his good nature, generous spirit and contagious laugh.

He leaves behind his beautiful wife Gloria, as well as, his daughter Corine Rodriguez and husband Frank, son Joe Gaeta, granddaughter Regina Gancar and husband Matt, grandson Frank Rodriguez and wife Claudia, grandson Dion Contreras, great-grandchildren Angelina, Jake and Jaxon, sister Pilar Sanchez, brothers Ray and Daniel Gaeta, along with numerous nieces, nephews and members of his extended family whom he loved completely.

Visitation, including a rosary service at 7:00 P.M., will be held at White's Funeral Home in Azusa on Wednesday evening, February 15, 2017 beginning at 6pm. The burial will take place at Queen of Heaven  in Rowland Heights on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1:30pm.  The family will be hosting a "Celebration of Life" at the VFW Post 1944 in City of Industry beginning at 2:30.
