John Kelly Esquer, 66 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at his home in Twin Falls Idaho.
Kelly was born November 27, 1956, in Salisbury, North Carolina to the late Fred and Joan Esquer. He was the second oldest of six children to this union. The family moved from North Caroline to Pico Rivera, California. Kelly was educated in the El Rancho High School, the hometown of Pico Rivera. At the age of 17 Kelly enlisted in the Air Force 1974 (like father like son) stationed in the state of Washington and honorably discharged in 1976 as an Airplane mechanic.
Kelly married the love of his life Doreen Esquer (1980) to this union Jacob John Esquer was born. Kelly cherished every moment with his son, he was a proud father, loved being a DAD, they were inseparable, Kelly loved making his son smile and laugh. Kelly had a nickname for his son, Cha-Cho Got-Cho guy. Theres a picture of his dad washing his car, and Jacob at 3 years old with his curly golden locks picking up a cloth to help his dad. Although the marriage did not last and had a rough patch for a while but in the end, they became truly good friends spiritually. It was a blessing in disguise to have Kelly in our lives, Doreen’s mom, the late Joan Holguin loved Kelly, her eyes would light update all the time; she saw the good in him no matter what.
Kelly was very bright, he touched everyone he came across, enjoyed spending time with family, had a since of humor, always laughing and smiling no matter what he was going through. That distinctive laugh he had after each sentence. He was loving and caring to others in his own way, a devoted son, father, brother, and friend leaving his imprint to All.
Kelly leaves to cherish his loving memory, son, Jacob John Esquer, five siblings, Mike (Leslie), Connie, (Bobby), Andy (Julie), Kris (Neil), Ted (Alice) and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles’ cousins, and friends.
