In Loving Memory of Linda Ascencio

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Linda Ascencio, who peacefully departed this life on June 30, 2026, at the age of 72.

Linda was born on February 6, 1954, and was a lifelong resident of Azusa, California, a community she proudly called home throughout her entire life. She was the youngest of six children and was deeply devoted to her family throughout her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Trinidad Sanchez and Nicolasa Sanchez. She was also reunited in heaven with her beloved sisters, Baby Marie and Jennie. Baby Marie held a special place in Linda's heart, and to honor her memory, Linda gave each of her three daughters the middle name Marie, ensuring her sister's name would live on through future generations.

She is lovingly survived by her three siblings, Lupe, Trinidad, and Ruben, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. One of Linda's favorite traditions was traveling to Arizona to visit her sister Lupe. Those trips were made even more special because she loved bringing her brother Trinidad along, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, stories, and family.

Linda was the proud mother of four children: her daughters, Anna, Michele, and Marsha, and her son, Joe. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who filled her life with love, laughter, and endless happiness. She treasured every moment spent with them and created memories they will carry forever.

To know Linda was to know someone who truly embraced life. She was a kid at heart, always the first one to jump into the swimming pool and never afraid to hop on one of her grandchildren's go-carts for a ride. Her playful spirit, adventurous nature, and contagious laughter brought joy to everyone around her.

Linda was incredibly talented with her hands. She loved crocheting beautiful keepsakes and making dolls for her children and grandchildren, each one crafted with patience, creativity, and love. She also had an extraordinary green thumb. Caring for plants brought her peace, and even shortly before her passing, she found joy in planting flowers outside her window—a simple reminder that she continued to nurture beauty until the very end.

Music and dancing were among Linda's greatest pleasures. Her favorite artist was Freddy Fender, and whenever his songs played, she couldn't resist dancing.

The holidays were especially meaningful to Linda, with Christmas holding the biggest place in her heart. She found true happiness in giving. Every Christmas, she made sure everyone had a gift to open, even if it meant she was left with little for herself. Seeing the smiles on the faces of those she loved was the greatest gift she could receive.

Linda lived by a simple motto: "No rules. Live life to the fullest." Those weren't just words—they were the way she lived every day. She embraced every adventure, treasured every laugh, and loved her family with all her heart.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing her love, kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and all who were blessed to know her.

Linda will forever be remembered for her laughter, her warm heart, her playful spirit, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
