Tribute

In Loving Memory of Patricia Hernandez
January 30, 1973 – June 9, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Hernandez, who left this world on June 9, 2026, in Azusa, California, at the age of 53.

Patricia was born on January 30, 1973, in Los Angeles, California, to her loving parents, Gudelia and Jose Hernandez. She grew up surrounded by family and shared a special bond with her siblings, her brother Miguel Garcia and her beloved sister Sandra Hernandez, who preceded her in death a year and a half ago.

Above all else, Patricia's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her son, Richard. He was the love of her life and owned her entire heart. Her love for him was unconditional, unwavering, and evident to everyone who knew them.

Patricia was also a devoted aunt to her 18 nieces and nephews, whom she cherished beyond measure. She wasn't just an aunt—she was "Thee Aunt" everyone wished they had. She spoiled her family with love, generosity, and unforgettable memories. Whether it was providing lowriders for prom celebrations, showing up when someone needed help, or simply making people feel special, Patricia always found a way to give. She truly would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need.

Patricia had a vibrant spirit that lit up every room. She loved to dance, laugh, and spend time with those she loved. She enjoyed eating mariscos and oyster shots—without the liquor—and never passed up a chance to enjoy her favorite carrot cake. In fact, she was genuinely upset when the local liquor store stopped carrying them.

One of Patricia's greatest loves was the water. Whether it was spending time at lakes and rivers or setting up an inflatable pool in her garage just so she could relax in the water, being near it brought her peace and happiness. Family was everything to her, and the annual family trip each July was one of her favorite traditions. This year, as the family gathers on July 16, her absence will be deeply felt, but her memory will be present in every laugh, every story, and every cherished moment shared together.

Patricia also loved butterflies, finding beauty in their grace and transformation, and she enjoyed visits to casinos where she could have fun and make memories with family and friends.

Those who knew Patricia will remember her generous heart, her infectious laughter, her love of family, and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Though her time with us was far too short, Patricia's love and spirit will continue to live on through her son, her family, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
