Pauline R. Acosta was a caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. She left this earth on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 88 years old.
She passed away after a long battle with cancer, in her hometown of Irwindale, California.
She was born on July 23, 1933 to Eutimio and Alice (Verdugo) Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her loving
husband Jorge Acosta and brothers Rudy Verdugo and Aurelio Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughter Susan Lake,
her granddaughters Sarrah Morgan (Kyle Morgan) and Samantha Navarro (Albert Navarro), her siblings Annie Jaramillo,
Rebecca Herrera, and Joseph Rodriguez (Iris Rodriguez).
Pauline loved life, she never met a stranger, and was always the life of the party. She lit up a room with her infectious
smile and joyous laugh. She enjoyed playing solitaire, and singing. She would burst out in song anywhere and anytime,
especially in her kitchen, or with family and friends. And, if she wasn't planning her next casino trip you could find her on
a Carnival Cruise, sailing to exotic destinations. She adored her family and friends and spending time with them was
always the highlight of any trip. Pauline was compassionate, generous, and kind, and we will all miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held at Whites Funeral Home in Azusa, Ca on Thursday, July 7 from 5PM - 8PM (rosary from 5PM - 6PM).
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 8 at 10AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Irwindale, Ca.
Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
