Thomas (Tom) Golden, Sr. was called home on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the age of 71.  Tom began his journey in 1948 in New York City, New York. Born to Fredrick and Kathleen.  Tom was raised in the small town of Sloatsburg, New York along with his older brother William and his younger brother John.  He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Suffern High School.  Tom served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969; he received an honorable discharge in 1970.  Later he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne.

Following his military service, Tom worked at Avon for 9 years before moving to California in 1979.  It was then that Tom found his passion in the security industry where he worked in the aerospace and hospital industries.  A career milestone was when he worked at Northrop Aircraft Division in security during the inception of the B-2 Bomber program.

While working at St. Vincent’s Medical Center he met the love of his life Amelia (Amy).  Tom and Amy married in 1979 and shared 40 years of love, laughter, good times and tough times forever making their marriage strong.  Tom is survived by his wife Amy, his children Thomas Jr., Christopher, Jennifer and Matthew, grandchildren Austin, Gabriel, Logan, Noah, Emma and his brother John.

Tom loved spending time with his family, camping in his RV, playing with his dogs and sprint car racing.  You could always find Tom registering online to win tickets, poking his finger in your ear, texting his family or watching the news.

His life was a blessing

His memory is a treasure

He is loved beyond words

Missed beyond measure
